Through driver development, team management, and the spirit of sportsmanship, we aim to build a community that celebrates endurance racing not only as a competition, but as shared experience with teammates, fellow racers, and fans alike.
MEET THE TEAM
Justin Edmonson
With nearly 10 years in motorsports, Justin has immersed himself in all aspects of racing. With extensive knowledge of Mazda cars, coaching, racing and networking, Justin formed Edmonson Motorsports as a platform to help those transitioning from karting and sim racing into sports cars. As the face of the company, Justin works closely with drivers and their families to build a strong pathway to success in racing while also overseeing all the racecars.

Jakey Edmonson
Jakey Edmonson brings a unique blend of engineering precision and entrepreneurial drive to Edmonson Motorsports. By day, he serves as a nuclear engineer supporting U.S. Naval submarines, where attention to detail, systems thinking, and accountability are non-negotiable. With a background in managing small businesses, Jakey oversees the operational backbone of Edmonson Motorsports - handling logistics, legal structure, financial management, sponsorship coordination, and the countless behind-the-scenes details that ensure both cars and crew arrive prepared and positioned to win.

David Johnson
Raised in Bauxite, Arkansas, working on hot rods, David developed a strong foundation in hands-on automotive work at an early age. He is a mechanic and pit crew member currently pursuing a degree in High Performance Automotive Technology at the University of Northwestern Ohio. With a background built in the shop and a focus on performance, precision, and reliability, David is working toward a career in professional racing.

Walker Young
Walker brings a passion for motorsports, performance, and hands-on automotive experience to Edmonson Motorsports. Currently pursuing a High Performance Automotive degree at the University of Northwestern Ohio, Walker is developing the technical knowledge and real-world experience needed to succeed in the demanding world of professional motorsports. Through endurance racing, he has gained valuable experience in race preparation, troubleshooting, and working with a team under the pressure of competition. His dedication to performance and continuous learning drives his commitment to both the team and the sport.

Michelle Jahnsen
Michelle is a lifelong automotive enthusiast with a passion for racing and the community built around motorsports. As a driver herself, she brings firsthand experience and a deep appreciation for the dedication, teamwork, and precision behind every race. Her involvement in the car scene through social media has allowed her to connect with and showcase the community she loves, bringing that experience into her work with the team. Today, she helps keep things moving behind the scenes while managing the team’s social presence and supporting its continued growth both on and off the track.

Carson Lubbess
Motorsports electrical technician
Carson is a Motorsports Electrical Technician at Edmonson Motorsports and a student of Motorsports Vehicle Technology at Lanier Technical College. While developing a broad foundation in race car preparation, fabrication, welding, and testing, his primary focus is motorsports electrical systems and the development of simple, reliable, and functional wiring harnesses. Outside of the race shop, Carson works restoring classic Ford Model A vehicles, continuing to build his hands-on mechanical and fabrication skills. His long-term goal is to specialize in and master the electrical side of race car preparation.
Jacob Opler
Technician
Jacob is an aspiring mechanical engineer with a strong passion for motorsports and performance engineering. As a crucial member of Edmonson Motorsports, Jacob provides top-shelf quality support, vehicle prep and troubleshooting in the shop and at the track. Jacob plays a crucial part as pit crew for the endurance races and driver liaison during Spec Miata weekends.
Graham Jacobson
Graham Jacobson is one of the young talents behind Edmonson Motorsports, bringing both real racing experience and a strong understanding of driver development to the team. At just 17, he’s already competing professionally himself, giving him a unique perspective when coaching and working with drivers. Known for his calm approach, attention to detail, and passion for motorsports, Graham helps create an environment that pushes drivers to improve while keeping the process competitive and enjoyable.
